The purpose for this group is to provide a safe space for people struggling with their mental health, to give them strength to share their story and seek support, or for people who are on the road to recovery to share how they have learned to cope with their issues and overcome their problems.
This is also a platform, where people can exchange ideas and help each other to bring about positive change in their lives and improve their mental wellbeing.
The group can be found on Facebook here.
It is closely moderated, to ensure the page is not misused. Any spam, hate and profanity will not be tolerated, one strike and perpetrators will be removed and blocked from the community.
Please feel free to invite people to the group, who you feel may be struggling and would benefit from connecting with likeminded people, who have also struggled and are all here to help.
I would also welcome support from people who work in the mental health sector, who feel they can add value to the community, offer their expertise and help on a volunteer basis for now, but feel frustrated with the state of affairs in the current mental healthcare system and don’t know what to to make a difference.
I am a solutions driven person and am keen to work together with people to bring about positive change and ensure people can get the support they so desperately need and feel lost and have been failed by the underfunded crumbling mental health care system.
Disclaimer: I am not a mental health professional, however, I am a qualified mental health first aider, having completed an accredited course issued by MHFA England.

I have plenty of lived experience though, having suffered terribly with mental health and was diagnosed as bipolar in 2016, after an series of extreme manic, followed by horrendous depressive episodes, after the sudden death of a close family member and learning the truth about my existence back in May 2014.
I am here to share my story, how I cope and keep myself stable, without taking medication and what changes I made in my life, to ensure I can build a solid foundation, support network and a safety net to fall into, if/when things go wrong with my mental health again.
Hopefully, by sharing my experience, people can take ideas and apply them, to bring about positive change in their own lives.
I cannot offer advice, as I’m not qualified to do so, but I will share what worked for me to overcome my experience with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and reach a state of peace, positivity and happiness in life again, without taking medication.
I can also signpost you in the right direction, should you need professional support with anything. I’m here to help and happy to help, you are not alone in this fight anymore!
